I attended the licensing & redlulatory Committee meeting at Southport Town Hall on Monday nights 17:00 – 20:30. The meeting wa chaired by Clly Doreen Kerrigan.
The owner of 95/97 Liverpool road(Opposite St Mary’s Social Club) has applied for a premises licence. This will be heard on Tuesday 19th March, 2013 at 10.00 am in the Town Hall, Bootle.
The application has a number of objectors and the quasi-judicial panel of three councillors; advised by a Sefton Council Lawyer & legal team, will hear objections from the petitioners. In return the applicant may also submit support for the application.
The application requests permission to sell alchohol

On Monday 28th I attended my first Licensing Committee meeting at Bootle Town Hall.
The meeting discussed changes to the licensing legislation amongst other topics including a new “One Stop Shop” for Taxi licensing.
A list of taxi licence offenders and fines was presented to the committee.
At the AGM/2 tonight I was given a seat on both the Licensing and Planning commitees for Sefton MBC.
